For Moshe Kale, with the fake email address

Sunday, July 5, 2009

Recently I received the following email from Moshe Kale. The email address he gave appears to be a fake address and my email answer bounced back as undeliverable.

So, here is what he wrote to me about my GayChristian101.com website, followed by my response to him.

"It does not surprise me that you approach the Torah with a typical Greek mindset. You are blinded to the truth. Yahshua (Jesus)said He did not come to do away with the law, but to fulfil it!!! This means to show how to keep it. He said the law would not disappear until heaven and earth disappear, look out your window and you will see they are still there. You are blinded to the truth because you continue to promote that which YHWH (G-d) calls an abomination. There is more than enough scriptures to extinguish your justification for this wickedness. For this reason you have been sent a strong delusion so that you would believe a lie. We know where lies come from don't we? Repent and turn back to the truth whilst there is time. I hope and pray you make the right decision!" - Moshe Kale

Here is my response

Thank you for writing to us Moshe. What a lovely and blessed name you carry - such a blessing to know you are a believer in Messiah. I appreciate your input and receive it in the godly spirit with which you offered it.

I believe that G-d's law given to Moses has NOT disappeared. It still exists and is valuable in pointing out our sin. However the law is not our means of justification before G-d. We are justified by faith without the deeds of the law, Romans 3:28.

The New Testament is very clear that Christians are not under the Old Testament Jewish Law or the law of Moses. Here is what the Bible says.

1. "For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace." Romans 6:14.

2. Christians are ”dead to the law." Romans 7:4.

3. "If ye be led by the Spirit, ye are not under the law" Galatians 5:18.

4. Christians are "delivered from the law." Romans 7:6.

5. "Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith. But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster“ [the law]. Galatians 3:24-25.

6. For Christians, the Law is "that which is done away." II Corinthians 3:11.

7. For Christians, the Law is "that which is abolished." II Corinthians 3:13.

8. For Christians, Jesus, on the Cross, was "blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us." Colossians 2:14.

9. For Christians, the Law is taken "out of the way" and nailed "to his cross." Colossians 2:14.

10. "When God speaks of a new [covenant or agreement], He makes the first one obsolete (out of use). And what is obsolete (out of use and annulled because of age) is ripe for disappearance and to be dispensed with altogether." Hebrews 8:13, The Amplified Version

11. "And after that he said, Lo, I come to do thy will, O God. Thus he put an end to the first in order to establish the second." Hebrews 10:9, Lamsa Translation

The position I take on GayChristian101.com concerning the law is the same view held by traditional Christians for 2000 years. Therefore, I wonder if: (1) you didn't read most of what I wrote about the Law, or (2) you prefer to hold a view which is at odds with the revelation of Jesus Christ in the New Testament. Here is what I believe about the Law.

1. Must Christians keep the Old Testament Law? http://www.gaychristian101.com/Christians-Under-Law.html

2. What is the purpose of Old Testament Law for Christians? http://www.gaychristian101.com/Moses-Law.html

3. Must Christians keep the Jewish sabbath? http://www.gaychristian101.com/Sabbath-keeping.html

4. Do you agree with New Testament teaching that Christians are NOT under the Law of Moses? http://www.gaychristian101.com/Christians-Under-Law.html#placename

5. Should Christians be Torah observant? http://www.gaychristian101.com/Torah-Observance.html

6. Did G-d tell us to keep the law to be saved? http://www.gaychristian101.com/Saved.html

7. Did you know that only Jews living in the Holy Land were required to keep the Law of Moses? http://www.gaychristian101.com/Law-of-Moses.html

8. Did you know Jesus kept all of Moses' Law in our place because we cannot keep it? http://www.gaychristian101.com/Torah-Observance.html

9. Did you know the Law was given specifically to Jews, not to Christians? http://www.gaychristian101.com/Leviticus.html

10. Do you know why Christians do not keep Sabbath? http://www.gaychristian101.com/Sabbath-keeping.html

11. Do you know why Christians worship on Sunday? http://www.bible.ca/7-sunday-1st-day.htm

12. Can you answer the 80 questions Sabbath keepers don't like to be asked?
http://www.bible.ca/7-sabbath-questions.htm

I praise G-d for shedding His precious blood to pay for our sins (yours and mine) and for justifying us by faith, entirely apart from works of the law.
I pray for you G-d's richest blessings as you walk the path of His purpose for your life.

If you have questions or if I can be helpful, please keep in touch and let me know what G-d is doing in your life.

Your brother in Christ,

Rick Brentlinger
