You Can KNOW God's Will

1. Its God's will that you get saved - 1 Timothy 2:4

2. Its God's will that you be filled with the Spirit - Ephesians 5:17-18

3. Its God's will that you be sanctified or separated - 1 Thessalonians 4:3

a. from sin
b. from sexual immorality
c. from lust
d. from dishonesty (defrauding anyone)

4. Its God's will that you be submissive to God - James 4:7

a. submit to each other - humility - Ephesians 5:21
b. submit to spiritual shepherds - Hebrews 13:17
c. submit to civil government - 1 Peter 2:13, Romans 13:1-2

5. Its God's will that you suffer - 1 Peter 3:17, 5:10 - you can't do right and get away with it.

Jesus suffered - Hebrews 5:8 and in human flesh, learned obedience by the things which He suffered.

Suffering teaches you lessons you can't learn any other way.

I walked a mile with pleasure;
She chattered all the way.
Yet none was I the wiser,
For all she had to say.

I walked a mile with sorrow,
And not a word said she.
But oh the lessons I learned that day
When sorrow walked with me.

6. Its God's will that you be thankful - 1 Thessalonians 5:18 - give thanks IN everything, not FOR everything

Conclusion: If you're doing these six things, you can do anything you want.

How so?

Because of Psalm 37:4

"Delight yourself also in the LORD: and he shall give you the desires of your heart.

Commit your way to the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass." -Psalm 37:4-5, American King James Version

When you're doing the six things above and delighting yourself in the LORD, you will want what He wants for you.
